Jose Mourinho’s team were impressive when they traveled to France to play PSG in the Uefa Champions League. However, behind the scene, an obscene incident involving fans has threatened the image of one of the biggest clubs in London, again.
An amateur footage was released on the internet shortly after Chelsea’s hard-earned a 1-1 draw with Paris St-Germain (PSG), showing the club’s fans preventing a ‘Black Man’ from boarding a Paris metro train shortly before the game. The passenger tried to squeeze himself into the train but was pushed back by the fans. Subsequently, the fans chanted “‘we’re racist, we’re racist and that’s the way we like it” in an apparent motive to mock the furious passenger.
In 2012, a Chelsea fan was caught making a Monkey-Gesture at former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck, during a capital-one cup clash between Chelsea and Manchester United.
NetNaija understands that Chelsea FC are yet to release an official statement.
