Selena Gomez Lose You To Love. Selena Gomez returns with brand new music titled "Lose You To Love Me", alongside its official music video.
The 27-year-old songstress' new release, "Lose You to Love Me" has already gotten a lot of people talking on social media. This is partially because people are convinced that she sings about Justin Bieber on the new song.
"This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album. I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself," she said about the song.
Lines that make people convinced that Selena is calling out Justin read, "Set fire to my purpose and I let it burn/ You got off in the hurting when I wasn't yours." Then, in a later verse, the Disney alum gets even more specific as she sings, "In two months you replaced us like it was easy/ Made me think I deserved it in the thick of healing."
Selena may be referring to the time when she and Justin briefly reconciled in late 2017, before he went to date Hailey Baldwin and even got married to the model. Further making her convinced, she says of the song, "This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album. I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself."
The song aside, the music video for "Lose You to Love Me" has also made headlines as it was shot using iPhone Pro 11. Directed by Sophie Muller, the visuals sees Selena sitting alone, looking over her shoulder and eventually growing more comfortable in her seat as the song progresses.
"Lose You to Love Me" will be included on Selena's upcoming album, which still doesn't have a release date or a title.
