T-Pain started showing off his new direction with his non-auto-tuned collaboration "Let Me Through" featuring Weezy F at the beginning of November. He left us even more impressed with his heartfelt and emotional title track "Stoicville," off his long-awaited album. While T-Pain's name has become synonymous with auto-tune, he's quickly changing that and showing us his vocals do not need even a hint of auto-tune. He's been outspoken in the past about how one should use the vocal altering device, and perhaps given the noticeable rise in auto-tune over the last year or two, he's on to bigger and better things.
The rapper-ternt-sanga debuted another new record, which continues the no-auto-tune-necessary trend. "Coming Home" verges on pop/rock, with it's catchy melody, hook and live instrumentation. It's definitely radio-friendly. The song was performed live on Morning Express with Robin Meade.
